ACE Newsletter - Week 6

Oct 19, 2026

Hello ACE families,

We are going into the third week of the ACE cycle and heading into 4th Week/off campus week. The next two weeks are a wonderful opportunity to get caught up on assignments or to dig deeper into topics of interest. Enjoy a little breather coming right up!

Supplies Needed

We need 2-liter bottles for an upcoming science project. Please drop these off at the office this week if you have any that we can use.

School Photos (10/20)

School photos are on Tuesday, October 20 (tomorrow)! ACE will provide each family with a digital copy of their students’ picture; the photographer might provide additional/optional packages for purchase. Students are to wear their Tuesday uniform for school photos.

College Board Exams (10/21)

This Wednesday we will proctor the PSAT 8/9, PSAT NMSQT, and SAT. The morning schedule for Rhetoric staff will be very different that day. Some special education supports and tutoring will be shifted due to the testing schedule. Please verify with your teachers and tutors if you have any questions!

Fun Club Note- Due to exam set up needed on Tuesday afternoon, Escape the Crate Fun Club will be switched to Board Games Club with Mr. Cook in the Computer Lab.

Literary Parade (10/22)

This Thursday, during lunch time, we are holding our annual Literary Parade (parents always welcome!). Students and staff get to dress up as a character from a book instead of wearing uniforms. General guidelines:

No masks or face coverings, no weapons (even fake ones; nothing related to weapons at school, at all), and nothing scary/horror-related (remember, we are a K-12 school). Please make sure your costume is modest (no bare midriff/bare chest; low neckline or high slits) and that you’ll be able to comfortably study in your costume for the day (we don’t have a lot of time to be taking costumes on and off). Each person in appropriate costume will earn 10 points for their House team. If you have questions about your costume, please let me know.

Absence Procedures

If you have a pre-planned absence coming up, please fill out the Pre-Arranged Absence form located across from the office. This helps office staff know who to expect each day and who might be out sick or tardy. If we don’t know your child will be absent, we’ll check with you.

Let me know if you have any questions!
