May 18, 2026
Hello ACE families,
We are nearing the end of the school year!! Our mantra at this time is always “Finish strong!” and this year is no different. Keep up the good work, stay focused, and remember summer is almost here!
If you haven’t yet begun working on your Character project, this would be an excellent time to tackle it. As a reminder, students will present their Character projects to their classmates. It’s so much fun to see what everyone has chosen for their project.
Fun Clubs Last Day- this week!
Tuesday, May 19 will be the last Fun Club of the year. There will be NO after school clubs on June 2.
4th Week Homework Club
If you have missing work, you will be contacted by your Academic Dean to attend Homework Club on Tuesday, May 26. It is important to get all missing work caught up, so students can end on a positive note and to ensure promotion to the next level is secured.
State Assessments
Don’t forget: We’ll be holding state assessments for grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 11 on Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27.
SIF
The final SIF deadline for the year is Thursday, June 4. All SIF forms can be found here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/19GHYqnBJnL_d4ZEif2n56mtDUCNkA3EL?usp=share_link

2026-2027 School Year News
Thank you for your feedback! We have some changes happening based on your great ideas!
SIF increase- Pre-Grammar students: $50/month; Grammar A-Dialectic 4 students: $75/month; Rhetoric students: $100/month
Upper-Level Math- We are working on a math progression that feels more doable and allows more time for grasping concepts and completing assignments.
Summer Math- We are adding four additional (optional) weeks of math class and tutoring in the summer to ensure students complete summer work and are ready for the new school year.
Upper-Level HLAs- Google Classroom assignments will now be available in printed form.
Less Screen Time- Research continues to show that screen time is not in student’s best interest and often is more of a distraction. Teachers are revamping upper-level curriculum to accommodate less screen time.
Aligned School Schedule- To streamline transportation and allow more time for at-home assignments, K-12 students will only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Additional Tutoring- Students needing individual tutoring in math, language arts, or reading can register for one-on-one support on Wednesdays.
4th Week Homework- We’re giving you back the break week! There will not be 4th Week Homework Club. 4th Week will continue to be used for school events, field trips and state testing.
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!
Have a great week!
