ACE Newsletter - July

Jun 29, 2026

Hello ACE families,

It was great meeting with you during AIMs week! We are officially beginning the new school year this week and have lots of great things in store for you! First off, occasionally throughout the summer and weekly beginning in September, following the school schedule, you’ll receive newsletters via this platform, JupiterEd. These emails will give you reminders, registration information about events/field trips, and other important details. Read on to find out about upcoming academic and extracurricular opportunities and more!

Returning families- Return books, unneeded uniforms, and HLA folders

If you haven’t returned your ACE books, uniforms, and/or HLA folders yet, please drop these off ASAP. Bring to the office or leave in the tall black mailbox outside the front door.

Uniform Order Form

forms.gle/5NA4JvdqbU3gPf429

If you don't need anything and kept last year's uniform, then you don't need to complete the form. If you need any uniform items, please complete this form by July 15, so we can get uniform pieces ordered. Don’t worry if you are not 100% sure of what size to order. We are able to exchange pieces throughout the year as needed.

Summer Math Classes

Our summer math classes will be held on Tuesday, July 7 and August 4, 9:30 a.m. – noon. No uniforms are required (just modest attire, please). We’ll have check-in tables set up, and we will help you locate your classrooms. Please bring your July summer workbook to class with you.

Summer EXTRA Support Sessions (2 in July & 2 in August)

In addition to the regular math classes, we are offering four extra/optional weekly support opportunities to help students stay on track with their summer assignments. Morning class sessions and afternoon individual tutoring sessions are available.

Summer Field Trips

July- On Thursday, July 9, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., you’re invited to Adkins Blueberry Farm (85995 Gossler Rd, Eugene, Oregon 97405) for blueberry picking. Bring buckets or bags to transfer your berries over for transporting home. ACE will pay for one pint of berries per registered student. Families can pick more and pay the difference. Water and snacks will be provided in the covered tent behind the check-out area, next to the parking field.

August- We’re heading to the Eugene Science Center on Wednesday, August 12, 1:00 – 3:10 p.m. We’ll see a planetarium show, visit the exhibit hall, and if desired, you can join us for an optional stop at Dickie Yo’s afterwards.

Board Meeting

The next board meeting is Tuesday, July 9, 9:00 a.m. We will meet in person, or you can join virtually. We welcome parents, students, and stakeholders at our meetings!

Latin Teacher Needed

We are hiring a middle school Latin teacher. If you’ve been through Primer A and B with your student and like to learn Latin, let me know!
